  1. That's a great end note to your collection - Scott did a beautiful job with those repainted FP's (:

  3. Good find! A typewriter that's been through the hands of Scott is a typewriter worth hanging on to. I don't like the word "end" though. One's collection never ends, I don't reckon. It merely evolves. Even without the addition of new machines, the current machines evolve with you or occasionally get serviced or tinkered with as required. On my side of Brisbane the hunt continues after a period of rest With recently rediscovered floor space to kill I am once more out stalking....

  4. I think that machine has found the perfect home. It looks much better on your desk, than it did up on my shelf.

It was a great typewriter to work on, and I'm very happy with how it came out in the end. So, you gave it the rubber tube treatment! That's pretty awesome. Glad it worked too.

    Have fun with it!

  5. cheers all! Although, promises of complete and rounded collections are likely to be impermanent and perhaps even compromised in a moment of weakness...

  6. correction: it's not the escapement generally but two letter specifically that are lazy in triggering the escapement (the W and D). This should make it easier to locate & fix.

  7. Now I want to type on my FP. Very nice, I expect a lot of good output will be produced.
